How does Sociants use the information it collects?

Sociants shares information with Community Providers to match individual and community needs.

At Sociants, our main goal is to match individual and community needs with the resources they need. To do this, we collect information about individuals, organizations and Community Providers in order to support the creation, development, operation and optimization of the services they offer.

Information Collection

At Sociants we collect information about individuals, organizations and Community Providers in order to create, develop, operate, deliver, and improve our services. The information we gather comes directly from users, who share data about their organization and participants; is collected automatically through the use of our page and/or services; or is provided by third parties. However, the information can only be shared with registered users who are subject to multiple limitations to access.

Uses of Information

Sociants' primary goal is to match individual and community needs with the right resources. For such purposes, Sociants shares information with third parties -that is, Community Providers- that provide the services to meet the referred needs. The information that is shared with a Community Provider through a service referral includes: gender, age, zip code, type of need, urgency, telephone number, and medical insurance.

In addition, Sociants may use a user's individually identifiable information for the following purposes:

  • Identity verification
  • To send important notifications (e.g. about the status of a case, payments, changes to the terms of use, conditions and policies)
  • Analysis of data
  • Internal audits
  • Research to improve our services

However, in such cases Sociants does not reference users using personally identifiable information. For more details on how we handle our security and data privacy aspects, you can access our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
