How does Sociants use an user’s information?

Sociant’s main objective is to match the individual and community needs with the resources they need. Sociants shares personally identifiable information (PII) with third parties for the purpose of optimizing the delivery of services to individuals.

PII is any information related to a specific person that can be used to discover their identity. Among the PII that Sociants collects is: a person's full name, phone number, date of birth, geographic data, email address, and mailing address.

In addition, Sociants may use a user's PII individually identifiable information for:

  • User identity verification
  • Data analysis
  • Determination of appropriate services
  • Sending important notices (e.g. about the status of a case, payments or changes to the terms of use, conditions and policies)
  • Internal audits
  • Intelligence and research to improve our services

However, in such cases, Sociants does not refer to users using their personally identifiable information.

The information collected comes directly from users, who share data about their organization and participants. In addition, this may be provided by third parties that provide social assistance services or may be collected automatically through the use of our page.

However, the information can only be shared with registered users who are subject to multiple limitations to access. For more details, access our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
