How do I accept or reject a received referral?

Once you evaluate the referral’s information and your ability to attend it, you can accept or decline it. The buttons for accepting or rejecting a referral are located in the upper right corner of each referral.

How to accept a received referral:

  1. To accept a referral, click Accept and select Accepted from the dropdown list.
  2. To cancel the referral, press Cancel and indicate the reason why you cannot attend to it.
  3. To indicate that you will provide the service, press Ready to deliver.
  4. Select the Ready to Deliver filter from the dropdown list.
  5. Indicate if the referral is In transit or Available for pickup.
  6. If you chose Available for pickup, select the corresponding filter from the dropdown list.
    1. After you have provided the resource or service to the individual, click Delivered.
  7. If you chose In Transit in step #5, select the appropriate filter from the dropdown list.
    1. If you encountered any obstacles to providing the resource or service, press Delivery attempt or Return to sender
    2. Indicate the reasons why you were unable to attend to the referral successfully.
    3. To indicate that you have already provided the resource or service to the individual, click Delivered.

Rejecting a received referral:

  1. To decline a referral, click Unfulfilled.
  2. Indicate the reason why you cannot attend the referral:
    1. Capacity
    2. Lack of resources
    3. Missing documentation
    4. Out of reach service area
    5. Participant not eligible
    6. Other
  3. To see a list of all your rejected referrals, click the drop-down list titled Filtered by and then click Cancelled.
